This weekend I popped over to Dalston to try out the newly opened Mildred’s.
I’ve been to a Mildred’s before (near King’s Cross) – they’re a great mini chain of restaurants in London that do amazing vegan and vegetarian food.
Mildred’s Dalston opened a few weeks ago, and you can tell by the very modern look, with funky decor and a real eclectic vibe. I went along on a Saturday at lunch time, and had no problem getting a table, although it soon filled up!
I had the Sri Lankan Sweet Potato and Green Bean Curry, and it was absolutely delicious. The curry comes topped with cashew nuts, which I wasn’t sure about when ordering, but they really complement the flavour of the sauce, and go perfectly with the texture of the sweet potato.
